The 1st febbruary 1952 with only a saw, a furnace and a small 200 Kg. hammer, Giancarlo Marcora started his venture to produce small forged pieces. So was born FORGIATURA MARCORA.
FIRST HYDRAULIC PRESS
Unfortunately, in September 1964, at the young age of 53 years, Giancarlo succumbed to an incurable disease, leaving the expanding company in the hands of his wife Maria Rosa. She courageosly met the difficult challenges of those years, with the help of her son Roberto (just non-graduated engineer). The installation of the first hydraulic press of 600 tons was completed, and with the aid of the first manipulator, the Forgiatura Marcora, (now s.a.s.) started to produce pieces up to about 1000 Kg.
THE SECOND SON
In 1966, the second son, Enrico (a recently qualified accountant) came into the firm and together, they pursue the Company’s activities.
In 1978 the FORGIATURA MARCORA is introduced to the abroad markets.
HIGH STANDARDS OF QUALITY
Regrettably, in 1980, the mother also died at a young age: she was just 59. Roberto and Enrico have always carried on the business in ful harmony and carefully increased the production capacity with new and modern machinery and job creation. Over the course of many years, priority has always been given to achieving high standards of quality. Since 1982 Forgiatura Marcora has established a Quality Control System that operates entirely independently of all other company departments.
PRODUCT INSPECTION AND TESTING
The laboratory is equipped with inspection equipment for the product and production processes. Product inspection and testing has, for many years, been carried out inside the firm in the presence of national and foreign independent inspection autorities.
After the institution of the “Quality System” according with the norm UNI EN ISO 9002, which was fully accredited by B.V.Q.I. on 17/07/98, the 9 January of 2002 also the objective of the new ISO9001:2000 has been reached with success.
THE THIRD GENERATION
From 2000, the Third generation, Michele, has become part of the company sharing the same spirit as his founder: grandfather Giancarlo.
